M is for Mike.

In just a day or so, give or take, I will have known this guy for 28% of my life.

Seven years for those of you who can't do the math.

That's a long time, considering that percentage will just continue to get larger and larger as the years go by.

Mike and I started dating when we were 18, we married at 23 (we'll be hitting that two year mark at the beginning of October). It's kinda nice we met when were so young. We're growing up together. We've experienced a lot together, and will only continue to meet more milestones together. We've grown up with each other's families, therefore we're really comfortable with either family and our families are comfortable when they're together. We have a lot of goofy times together – more nights than I'd like to admit are like slumber parties, where we're laughing up a storm and having pillow fights when we really should be sleeping for work in the morning. We have a lot of dreams together.

Heck, we even share the same birthday!

That's a great tidbit that always throws people. Shortly after our 21st birthday we went to a jazz club to see Buddy Guy, and got lots of looks from the bouncer upon inspection of our IDs. People even ask, "like the same day?" Yes, they same day. In the same year. Only a couple hours apart.

I'm lucky to be able to spend every day with my best friend. (I love you, honey!)

I've got a Mike too! And we met pretty young too. I was 18 when we got married. :) That's so special that you share a birthday! Awesome! I already did a post about my husband so (H for husband) but several times he has asked me "Is today about me?" Husbands!
