All in a Golden Afternoon

Feeding the Ducks at Washington Park

We gave the rest of our bread to the ducks at the park this afternoon. Took a walk around the park in the sun. Played catch until I got bored. Then came home, de-plasticized our windows and opened the screen door. It's great to breathe fresh air.

I think I'm really going to like having such a beautiful, big park nearby. Tons of people milling around, though never feeling crowded. Dogs, ducks and little kids tottering around. Being closed to traffic on beautiful weekends for Bike and Hike days. Walking hand in hand, musing about houses over looking the park that are for sale and pregnant dogs. The playground was full of laughs and screams, though the pond and gazebo were calm and secluded.

When the weather warms/dries up, and things turn green, it'll be nice to spend weekends walking, picnicking and talking.
