Yardwork Saturday

Beds Cleaned - Check!

Mike, Nibbler and I spent the first half of the day in the yard, working on sprucing up our curb appeal. Our front beds were slightly over grown, especially with weeds and gunked up with leaves from last fall. So we pulled up weeds, cleared out the weeds, then laid down some cedar mulch and accented with a few solar lights.

Nibs Enjoys the Cleaned Beds

Nibs can now enjoy the front yard from her new staked line we've tucked into the landscape. No more trying to rig up a stake of some sort from an old broom handle to slip her leash over. Then having to worry about moving it as the sun shifts. She's able to reach all parts of our small front yard, including spots of continuous shade, while we work in the front, so the family can be together.

Edwards House In Progress

Front yard work is done for awhile, as Mike plans to move to the back yard for rehab tomorrow. But within the next few weeks, we do hope to tackle painting the front door and shutters. And perhaps more appropriately sized bushes will come in the fall.
