Do Not Fear…

Mrs Incredible
Project # 31 in the '50 in 2008 Challenge' - Mr & Mrs Incredible Costumes

Last night Mike and I had our third costume party to go to this Halloween season. At party #1, I went as Hermione Granger (last year's costume but with a "Hogwarts: A History" book added and no red wig), Mike as Al Borlan. Party #2, I went as Ginny Weasley (last year's costume with a black robe added), Mike went as Al Borlan…again. But party #3 had a Superhero theme, so no HP/Tool Time for us.

I spent yesterday afternoon watching Ugly Betty and The Maltese Falcon while stitching up some wardrobe enhancements.

It actually took about 4 hours to whip up two of the Incredibles insignia and two felt masks. And made for a perfectly simple superhero getup, to get into the spirit of the party without needing to commit to spandex. All we needed were red shirts.

Another Incredible actually attended the party as well. And though she just taped a printed out copy of the insignia on her red shirt, she did wear red tights, black shorts and black gloves to really round out the look. So I would have to say she probably won the Incredible look-alike award, but ours will definitely last for years to come. I love having costume bits available. It really makes those last minute costume party decisions easy.
