Start off with some homemade crust, extra virgin olive oil, some minced garlic, sliced tomatoes, and fresh basil snipped from your garden.
Add a little mozzarella…even better if it's fresh.
Bake until goldeny and enjoy outside with a new book.
End the night with a homemade chocolate shake in a polka dotted sundae glass! (aren't they cute? a birthday gift from my sis, a set of 4 along with a set of 4 cone shaped glasses!)
After the world's longest shortened week, I couldn't be happier that the weekend is here. It's not that I don't enjoy my family visiting, but combined with the cleaning that proceeds the visit, last weekend was nearly non-existent despite being a holiday weekend.
This weekend will be filled with movie watching and crafting, and some much needed house cleaning and laundry. Though after tonight's meal, I kinda feel ready to go to bed already despite being only 7:30. Yikes. Perhaps those plans are a little too grand.
