This morning I got up early and made my family freshly baked bagels to go with the doughnuts I had frozen for an Easter breakfast. They turned out yummy…a little flatter than I would have liked, but delicious. If this baking thing becomes more frequent, I may have to invest in new yeast, either that or let my current yeast have more time to rise.
Off for an early bedtime, a late night of dough preparation, egg dying and wand making, topped with an early rise to bake the bagels has left me mighty tired. I won't even mention the rambunctious three year old, large meals or car rides.
I have some cute crafted baby goodies to share, so it shouldn't be long until you hear from me again. But for now, good night and here's to an A-OK week.
Oh! You can find the bagel recipe I used here.
