One for Me, One for You: November/December Results

November/December Square - Darcy
Darcy's November/December Square

Despite being nearly a month late, I have to give Darcy major props on her latest square for our 'One for Me, One for You' quilting collaboration.

Everything's hand stitched on. For a funky, colorful result that definitely raises the bar for quality and creativity.

Sigh, now I have to step my game up for the next square.

And in comparison, mine just looks bore-ing! I'm happy with it, and it sure did help to have won that stack of Amy Butler Midwest Modern fat quarters. Though the colorway was different from what Darcy sent, I was able to piece this baby together only using fabric from my stash.

Now that's always a good thing.

Off to brainstorm a geniusly creative idea for my next square. Fabric selections to come, as well as my solution for storing/displaying all these quilt squares until the end.

I love the apple/pear background fabric in your tree square. It is one of my favorites.

Is yours a paper pieced quilt square? A girl in one of my classes showed us how to do that and it looked hard! Your square looks great though!
